Quill
Club Writers have a remarkable track record, having identified and mentored
young writers, publishing more than 3,000 young writers in 130 books of
fiction. Almost half a million students have either read or are reading these
books as part of their curriculum at over 100 schools nationwide.
Mayoor
School, Ajmer, therefore, invited Quill Club Writers to mentor and identify
young writers for their upcoming writing programme.
The
programme began with an ice-breaking session led by author Mr. Hemant Kumar,
followed by a peer review process, pitching sessions, and collaboration with
student-artists. The final drafts were created in the school computer lab, and
the program concluded with a Closing Ceremony on October 17. The programme
aimed to nurture creativity and encourage young talent, and fostered a sense of
community and collaboration among the young writers.
The
programme has been a significant step in nurturing the art of storytelling and
fostering appreciation for the literary arts among students.
