To ensure that the much awaited summer break is a time to relax and rejuvenate, the school organizes a special ‘Summer School’ for students from age 3 to 17 years in the month of May every year. This provides the students an environment where students can hear their calling, pursue and discover their interests - all in the school campus.
During the summer break, the school functions as a centre for hobby pursuit, where students are encouraged to take up a hobby and train themselves in extracurricular activities under the guidance of their teachers. Students utilize their time in creative ways, learning new techniques and skills in games, computers, music and arts. Run throughout the month of May, these summer classes are extensions to what children learn through the year. Special Coaches/Trainers and expert faculty members hold sessions every day from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.
The summer school sees an overwhelming participation of nearly 600 students every year, eager to avail of the rich experience this camp offers in Sports, Art & Craft, Music, Dance, Computers and Robotics.
The Waddington Ground is abuzz with hectic sports activities in Basket Ball, Football, Handball, Softball, Hockey, Badminton, Cricket, Judo/Karate, Rifle Shooting, Skating, Gymnastics, Yoga, Wall Climbing, Horse-riding and Swimming. There are Sports Teachers and Trainers present to sharpen the students’ skills in sports.
In Art and Craft, the students are taught the finer nuances of painting, clay modelling, charcoal drawing, oil painting, macramé work and flower making. Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, Congo & Tabla lessons and training in Indian vocal music forms a part of the Music Workshop.
