Inter House Western Music Competition
The true beauty of music is that it connects people
through the message that it carries. Playing the role of such messengers,
bringing together the audience and the judges, the young singers from classes
VI-VIII competed in the Western Music competition. A total of 20 students
performed under 2 categories which were: 1- Western Vocal and 2- Instrumental
(Keyboard, Guitar and Drums).

Inter House Indian Music Competition
The Inter
House Indian Music competition was held online on July 23, 2021. Music is the
shorthand of emotions, and keeping in sync with this the participants of the
musical event offered a variety of euphony and sentiments through their
performances. For this competition students participated under two categories -
Classical Vocal & Sargam Geet. There were 8 students in each of the
categories. The entrants of Indian instrumental music enchanted the judges with
their performances on tabla, harmonium and flute.

As is rightly said that dance is the hidden language of the soul, students from classes VI-VIII expressed themselves through this language during the Inter House Dance Competition which was held on July 22, 2021 under three categories.
Each house was represented by 5 students where one performed Solo Classical Dance, two each performed Folk and Contemporary Dance. In all, there were 20 participants.

The
English Debate was conducted on July 20, 2021.The competition was divided into
three categories: Category I (VI), Category II (VII) and Category III
(VIII) where participants debated on the following topics:
Class VI -
In the opinion of the house - Children’s stories should have no villains.
Class VII
- In the opinion of the house - Artificial intelligence will soon replace
human intelligence.
Class VIII
- In the opinion of the house - Startup India is boosting entrepreneurship.
Like all
the other events, this too was conducted virtually.

Inter House Character Enactment – Sanskrit
The IH Sanskrit Character Enactment was conducted on July 19, 2021. Taking up the challenge of enacting characters in Sanskrit, students from VI-VIII participated in the event. A total of 12 students participated and dramatised (solo) various characters from the world of चलचित्र (Bollywood), राजनीति (Politics), इतिहास (History) and शिक्षा (Education).

House Character Enactment - English
The IH
English Character Enactment was
conducted on July 17, 2021. Taking their theatrical skills a notch higher this
year too, students from VI-VIII participated in the event. A total of 12
students participated and dramatised (solo) characters expressing various
emotions, viz. anger, jealousy, humour, love, hatred, happiness and disgust.

Inter House Hindi Debate
Hindi Debate was conducted on July 16, 2021. The
competition was divided into two categories : category-I (VI- VII) where
participants spoke on the topic ‘मानव
जाति की तीव्र गति से उन्नति ही उसके विनाश का कारण है’ and
category-II (VIII) where the students debated the topic ‘बाल
अपराधियों के प्रति सहानुभूति का दृष्टिकोण न्यायसंगत है’. Like
all the other events, this too was conducted virtually.

The
Leaflet designing competition was held on July 15, 2021 which was themed on – Environment
(Interaction and changes).
A total
of 8 participants from all four houses participated and were divided into 4
pairs. The students unbridled their creativity and imagination to bring forth
mindfully designed brochures.
Prisha
Vaishnav (VI A) and Rudraksh Dadhich (VIII B) from Chittorgarh House achieved
the First Position.

Mayoor School
always strives to cater to all round development of its students by providing
them with a platform to showcase their skills. With the same intention in mind
an Inter House English Extempore Competition was held on July 14, 2021 through virtual medium, where the students got an opportunity to speak
their minds about a given topic with spontaneity, substance and sensibility,
under a time constraint.
