The IX Inter House Hindi One Act Play Competition was organised on 28th and 29th of April 2017.All the plays were self scripted by the students based on a story.The students were told to build the plot of the plays in such a way so that some social message could be derived from the plays.
Three judges namely, Dr.Rakesh Kataria ,Dr.Ritu Saraswat , Dr.Ashutosh Pareek judged the entire event.
On 28th, Blue and Yellow houses presented their plays and on 29th, Green and Red.
Awards for best actors and director were given along with consolation prizes.
The overall trophy was shared by the Green and Red house and it was for the first time in the history of this competition that two houses have shared the trophy.

“MAATA
NIRMATA BHAVTI” |
This play projected
the loving emotions of a mother who was blind in one eye. The story centered
around a doting & devoted mother who single handedly rears the son. The
son succeeds to an IAS but forgets his duty towards her. It ends in the realization,
but it was too late. |
YELLOW |
“KAARI RAINA” |
This story was based
on the story 'Kafan' by Munshi Premchand.The story revolves around a poverty
stricken family of three members , Radha ,Madho and Gheesu.The story is an
emtional account of one of the most diificult challenges faced by the
society-poverty. |
RED HOUSE |
“MAIN ZINDA HOON” |
The script was
adapted from Krishan Chander's story 'JAMUN KA PED'.It talks about the
vicious cycle of government files,offices and institutions. The play
questions the society about the existence of mankind and humanity.It
beautifully portrays the self centered nature of human beings and how inhuman
the society has become. |
GREEN HOUSE |
“KAKI.......! MAIN
HOON NA” |
This story was based
on the story 'BOODHI KAKI' by Munshi Premchand. The play coveys a
message of women empowerment and shows the ill-treatment subjected to the old
people. It powerfully portayed the emotional turnoil of old kaki and how
someone restored her honour |
