Creating Peace Within and Around Us
Nursery to Class II turned International
Peace Day into a celebration of love, kindness, peace and forgiveness, with
plenty of smiles along the way. On Friday, 18 September, the little ones of
LKG-C set the tone with a special presentation featuring a Manifestation Bowl for
teachers, the soulful 'We Shall Overcome' and lively dance performances to 'Sky
Full of Stars' and 'Jamaican'. Dressed in white, the colour of peace, children
and teachers added to the spirit of purity, unity and harmony.
Across Nursery to Class II, children also
explored peace symbols, including the dove, through creative worksheets and
engaging classroom activities. On Saturday, 19 September, Classes I & II
kept the peace spirit going! Dressed in white, they came together for a special
assembly on the importance of peace, followed by classroom discussions on
inspiring peace ambassadors such as Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.
Little voices, bright smiles and one big
message- peace begins within, and kindness makes it grow!
