The XVI Individual Chess Championship 2026 was successfully
conducted from Wednesday, 12 August to Thursday, 27 August 2026, witnessing the
enthusiastic participation of 255 players. The championship brought together
young minds for an exciting display of strategy, concentration, determination
and sportsmanship.
The participants competed across various categories, putting
their skills and strategies to the test. The First Position winners were Ali
Ahmed Siddiqui (Classes I & II), Advik Sharma (Under-10), Kushan Maheshwari
(Under-12), Sarthak Rathi (Under-14) and Devansh Samaria (Under-17).
A special round of applause for Devansh Samaria, who was
declared the Mayoor School XVI Individual Chess Champion 2026!
