The Inter-House Turncoat
Debate, a new competitive feature added to the Senior School Cultural events,
was held on Tuesday, 26 August 2025.
The event witnessed
participation from Classes IX to XII, divided into Group 1 (Classes IX–X) and
Group 2 (Classes XI–XII).
The Turncoat format, which
challenges speakers to argue both in favour of and against a motion, tested
participants’ ability to think on their feet and present coherent arguments within
the given time. A wide variety of pertinent and thought-provoking topics were
presented, encouraging the debaters to explore multiple perspectives on
contemporary and timeless issues.
In Group 1, Anika Saksena
secured the First Position, while Arya Bansal and Kashvi Jain jointly finished
at the Second Position.
In Group 2, Somya Singh
claimed the Top Position followed by Kabir Sharma at the Second place. After a
closely contested tally of points, Chittorgarh House emerged as the Overall
winner, with Mehrangarh House finishing Second.
