IV Mayoor Basketball tournament won by L.K. Singhania Education Centre, Gotan defeating host Mayoor School by 2 points. The final match was delayed by almost 2 hours due to rain. The match was very keenly contested and LKS, Gotan emerged winner. The chief guest of the final match was RK Rajendra Singh Deo of Poonch emphasized on playing with the true sportsman spirit and wished both the teams good luck in his opening ceremony speech.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Puneet Chawla, DRM Ajmer on 23rd January, 2017.
Out of 8 participating teams, 4 were outstation teams viz. Sangam School of Excellence, Bhilwara, Central Academy, Kota, Sanskar School, Jaipur and L.K.S. , Gotan.
The Chief Guest emphasized on the role of sports & games in the lives of students. He wished good luck to all the teams and invoked a true sense of sportsmanship as they compete with each other.
The tournament was played on league cum knock-out basis.
