The children of the Pre Primary and Classes I & II celebrated the festival of Makar Sankranti and Lohri on 13 January 2017 with gaiety and excitement.
What they probably had most fun in was flying kites. The school lawns were blustering with young children, over possessive for their kites.
They could be distracted from their boisterous fun only after they were asked to share with one another the delicacies made from sesame seeds which they had brought from home. The teachers used the opportunity to tell the children about the significance and relevance of both the festivals. The children were tired with an extra dose of fun they had but left the school relentlessly craving for more.
