The Pre Primary Wing of Mayoor School found new friends in a wide variety of birds at the Mayo College Aviary on October 19th & 20th, 2016. The young children discovered to their amazement that the Emus, Doves, Cockerels, Ducks and many others birds coexisting with Turtles, Tortoises and Rabbits. Sprawling over a sizable area the Mayo College Aviary also has an artificial lake for the water birds. We were told that in the recent years some migratory birds too have been spotted in the shelter.
The children were excited to see the magnificent Peacocks all over the campus. They had two fun filled days which piqued their curiosity as they discovered different birds, some of which they had never seen before.
