The Grand Finale of the three-day-long Mayoor Invitational Debates on Saturday, 26 July 2025, echoed just that !

The Chief Guest, Thakur Sidharth Singh Ji of Rohet, Chairman, Mayoor School Committee (MCGC), was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Shri Sanjay Khati, who apprised the audience of Sidharth Singh Ji’s keen interest in the art of Debating.

The day’s proceedings included the fiercely contested Quarter-Finals as well as the Semi-Finals which witnessed equally fiery match-ups : Vasant Valley School, New Delhi V/S Jayshree Periwal Global School, Jaipur and Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer V/S Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur.

The simmering and seething viewpoints found a pertinent outlet in the Final Round, held between Vasant Valley and Jayshree Periwal International School, on the motion: This House Believes That the Quest for Efficiency Does More Harm Than Good.

Vihaan Gupta from Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur was adjudged the Overall Best Speaker, while the alluring Winning Trophy was claimed by Vasant Valley School, New Delhi.

The Chief Guest complimented the entire school fraternity for the successful conduct of the competition and lauded the participants for expressing themselves with aplomb. He also remarked that debating is a feature exclusive to a civilized society, as societies that do not debate – fight !

The Convener, Smt. Karuna Tandon, proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the winners.

 

MID... THE PRELUDE

Mayoor Invitational Debates-2025 kept the School corridors abuzz with arguments and counter- arguments through out the day, with all the debators completely immersed in the spirit of the competition.

Watch out for this space as the adjudicators declare the eight quarter finalists tomorrow morning!! 

 

GRAND OPENING CEREMONY of MIDQ - 2025

The high octane Debating and Deliberation extravaganza, the Mayoor Invitational Debates and Quiz-MIDQ, 2025, unfolded yesterday, i.e. 24 July 2025.

The event was inaugurated by the eminent educationist and Chairman, Collaboration Committee, Mayo College General Council, Dr. Sarvesh Naidu, who shared interesting trivia on his experiences with young learners.

With 85 participants and 17 schools from across the country participating in the mega event, it promises to create ripples in the educational circuits of the town.

The informative, entertaining and challenging Final Round of the Quiz was also conducted with much fanfare amongst six finalists selected after a couple of Preliminary Rounds, by the well-known Quiz Master, Shri Ajay Poonia, co-founder of Evolving Edutainment.

Cambridge Court High School, Jaipur team comprising Dhairya and Vaibhav walked away with the beautifully carved teak wood MIQ Rolling Trophy.

Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur and Scindia School, Gwalior secured the Second and Third Position, respectively.

The Principal welcomed all the delegates and escorts and iterated his commitment of providing the platform for all such intellectual congregations and exchanges.
