The Principal conferred with the National Award to Teachers 2015

Mr. Neeraj K. Bedhotiya was conferred with the National Award to Teachers 2015 by Shri Pranab Mukherjee on September 05, 2016. The award is recognition of his endeavours and contribution in the field of education. It is indeed a moment of intense joy and great honour and pride for Mayoor School, Ajmer.

"A good teacher ensures that education brings positive changes in society." These words by Mr. Neeraj K. Bedhotiya stand true when the success of the students of Mayoor School, Ajmer in academics, sports and co-curricular activities is observed in the light of the positive changes in the school life and infrastructure brought about during Mr. Bedhotiya’s tenure of 14 years at Mayoor School, Ajmer.

About Mr. Neeraj K. Bedhotiya


Mr. Bedhotiya is a gold medallist in M.Phil (Physics) from Agra University. He started his teaching career at Doon School, Dehradun. He was associated with Doon School as a Science teacher & Housemaster for 11 years. He has taught at Marlborough College, the U.K. for a year as a part of teacher exchange programme. He has served as the founding Principal of Asian School, Dehradun.


In 2011 , he received the CBSE teacher award from  The Ministry of Human Resource Development. He was awarded by Society for Unaided Private Schools of Rajasthan in 2007 for effective implementation of ICT in education. Under his leadership internationalism at Mayoor School , Ajmer has strengthened. The school received British Council’s International School Award 2007-2011 , 2011-2014 & 2015-2018.


He is currently serving as a mentor for the CCE Programme of the CBSE .


He is a member of the advisory board of RIE Ajmer that functions under the NCERT. Also he is a member of LIC North Zonal Advisory Board.


'Learn with Linux'- books for ICT curriculum for classes I to VIII have been authored by him; the books are published by Oxford University Press. He has also presented papers on education in conferences of Cambridge, British Council, CBSE, etc.


He is a sport enthusiast who has introduced the concept of evening games at Mayoor School,Ajmer on the lines of the residential schools . A keen cricketer himself, he is a strong proponent of participation of the students in sports & co-curricular activities. Under his leadership the school cricket team enjoyed a successful tour to Australia in 2012. During his tenure at Mayoor School, he has immensely contributed to the significant upgrading of the sports infrastructure at school for supporting the sporting talent.


He has promoted the addition of international dimension to the school curriculum. Teacher & student exchange programme between Mayoor School , Ajmer & partner schools in the U.K., Germany & Greece run every year. Furthermore, the school provides internship opportunities to students from Murray Edwards College, the U.K. and hosts teaching assistants from the British Council.
