It was a
battle of wits and quick thinking as 14 Schools from across the country came
together for the much-anticipated Mayoor Invitational Quiz Competition held on
Thursday, 29th August 24. Shri Pradeep Dharamapalan, the famous Journalist,
Copywriter and Radio Newscaster conducted the Final Round of the Quiz which
comprised six teams. The Preliminary Rounds of the Quiz were conducted by Quiz
Master Ms. Sonia Minocha and covered a wide range of subjects.
Cambridge Court High School,
Jaipur lifted the beautifully carved MIQ Trophy entirely designed in-house.
Mayoor School, Ajmer and Jaishree Periwal Global School, Jaipur were jointly declared the First Runners-up.
The Mayoor Invitational Debates
and Quiz culminated on Saturday, 31st August 24 with a captivating showcase of
rhetoric and arguments. The Final Round featured a face-off between Jayshree
Periwal High School, Jaipur and Scindia School, Gwalior, a match-up determined
after multiple rounds of debates, including the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals,
which were equally engaging.
The success of the mega event
lied in the fact that fourteen schools from across the length and breadth of
the country vied for the aesthetically carved and indigenously designed teak
wood Debates and Quiz trophies.
Jaishree Periwal High School were
declared the winners after the well-contested Final Round of the Debate on the
topic "This House regrets the Human Desire to leave behind a Legacy".
Tanish Agarwal of Scindia School,
Gwalior was adjudged the Overall Best Speaker with Ivy Khali of Mayo College
Girls School and Rishank Gupta of IPHS being declared the most Promising
Speakers. The Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony Shri Navneet Mathur, well
known Entrepreneur and Business Scaling Up Coach, gave away the prizes and also
made an instant connect with the audience through his power packed speech.
The Principal, Shri Sanjay Khati,
emphasized the importance of developing the ability to deliberate and transform
imperfections into strengths, highlighting these as essential 21st Century
Skills that Mayoor is committed to instilling in its students.
The event's convener, Smt. Karuna
Tandon, also congratulated and thanked all the participating teams for their
enthusiastic involvement.
