Celebrating the centenary year
of Shri Hariprasad Parsai - renowned Hindi writer known for his satirical and
humorous work, the School staged four of his most acclaimed One-Act Plays on
Thursday, 25th April and Saturday, 27th April, ’24.
Laced with wit and sarcasm,
all the four Houses suitably presented incisive commentary on contemporary
issues bothering the nation.
Mehrangarh House presented the
play Sadachar ka Taaveez and Chittorgarh House presented Sudama ke Chaawal on
the first day of the programme.
Similarly, on the second day,
Ranthambhore House presented Inspector Matadeen Chaand Par and Kumbhalgarh
House presented Bholaram ka Jeev.
The Judges, Shri Anant
Bhatnagar, Shri Raasbihari Gaur and Shri Pradeep Gupta appreciated the School
for keeping the art of theatre alive and popular amongst students in the age of
information overload.
Talking about his love for
Theatre and its fleeting nature, Principal, Shri Sanjay Khati added that
Theatre is a living and breathing art form that thrives on the presence of the
performer and the immediacy of the audience. It exists only in the moment of
performance and then evaporates.
Convener, Smt. Shalini
Agarwal, declared the results in which Ranthambore House emerged as the winner
followed by Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh House at the Second and Third
Positions, respectively.
