October 2 ,2016 was a day to remember the luminaries of the Independence struggle and have a peek into their life and time. A special assembly was convened on October 3,2016 to remember and pay homage to both Gandhi and Shastri. The children were told the significance of Gandhi Jayanti and how we can resolve to uphold Gandhian principles on this day. The children sang Gandhi’s favourite songs with fervour and realised what the Mahatma means to us individually, and as a nation.
