Green House won the Inter House Athletics Trophy

The 4th November dawned, as bright as ever and Waddington Ground wore a festive look. at 2:30 pm the Chief Guest H.H. Maharaja Brajraj Singh ji of Kishangarh, Senior Vice President, Mayo College General Council, arrived and was accorded traditional welcome, present along with him were some members of the Mayo College General Council. After an impressive march past by the students of four houses, the Principal, Mr. N.K. Bedhotiya gave a welcome speech. The declaration of the XXVIII Athletic Meet Open was followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony, after wich the Chief Guest was introduced to all the House Captains, Athletic Captains and Prefects. The children from the Junior Section then presented an impressive Karate display. Now, it was the time for the Athletic events of the day to take place, which included the 100 metre races for Groups E, A B, C, 4x100 metre relays, 200 metre races for Groups A and B, Support Staff races and the Parents Vs Staff races. A pleasant interlude was the Gymnastics Show by the boys and girls of the pre-primary section .After the races it was time for the enthralling Senior School Display to the beats of some peppy music. About 400 children were involved in this display holding various colourful props moving and swaying to the beats of different pieces of energetic music.

After a brief address by Chief Guest, the Best Girl Athlete of school, Richi Sharma presented a memento on behalf of the Mayoor School Family followed by the vote of Thanks by the School Athletics Captain Abhishek S. Rawat. Then, the Chief Guest declared the XXVIII Athletic Meet Closed and the Parents and Staff sweated it out in an interesting tug o war. The day ended with everybody looking extremely pleased at the culmination of this grand event at Mayoor.
